57 Humble runners complete Chevron Houston Marathon
Fifty-seven Humble athletes completed the Chevron Houston Marathon on Sunday, Jan. 13 in Houston.
The runners from Humble and their finishing times were Manfred Roenz, 43, 3:00:31; Matthew Reyes, 28, 3:09:24; Nathaniel Cameron, 32, 3:29:34; Betsy Pemberton, 32, 3:32:50; Timothy Taylor, 33, 3:43:49; Brian Ashy, 36, 3:43:16; Brandy Exnicious, 34, 3:44:50; Todd Sumner, 41, 3:49:52; Chad Wilson, 41, 3:54:52; Massimo Marinelli, 38, 3:56:35; Nancy Webster, 40, 4:02:45; Jeff Wang, 41, 4:06:51; Gerald Godoy, 45, 4:14:36; Leslie Minter, 48, 4:23:46; Michelle Bennett, 45, 4:23:47; Andres Espinosa, 16, 4:26:05; Demi Wilkes, 38, 4:20:04; Armando Garcia Jr., 30, 4:25:53; David Jones, 38, 4:27:55; Richard Gonzales, 30, 4:40:49; John Allen, 44, 4:33:39; Robert Murray, 42, 4:41:59; Kelly Lumpkin, 41, 4:31:48; Avanna O'Brien, 26, 4:42:00; Belinda Borgers, 46, 4:46:37; Michelle McMillan, 41, 4:43:05; Lily Trevino, 39, 4:46:51; Michael Patrick, 47, 4:49:53; Ginger Salas, 36, 4:50:11; Mark Gonzales, 48, 4:44:14; Steve Boone, 63, 4:57:35; Roland Baker, 41, 5:01:05; Krystal Singh, 28, 5:00:29; Salvador Madrigal, 38, 5:04:33; Anthony Mosley, 44, 5:11:15; Robert Davis, 35, 5:06:05; Jesus Vallejo, 42, 5:13:30; Anthony Toh, 44, 5:15:04; Lauren Leth, 26, 5:11:52; and Timberly Davis, 33, 5:22:01. Seventeen other local runners also completed the race.
Race organizers said 6,676 runners finished the 26.2-mile race, which began at Minute Maid Park and ended at George R. Brown Convention Center.
Bazu Worku, of Ethiopia, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 2:10:17, while Merima Mohammed, also of Ethiopia, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 2:23:37.
