McCord Development announces sale at Generation Park

McCord Development Inc. has announced its first major land sale at Generation Park, a 4,000-acre master-planned development in the Lake Houston area.

According to a company press release, FMC Technologies Inc. recently purchased 173 acres in Generation Park West. The parcel has beltway frontage and room for a variety of uses.

"We couldn't be more pleased with FMC Technologies' decision to purchase at Generation Park," said Ryan McCord, president of McCord Development, in the press release. "They put in extensive due diligence during this process and, when they were done, they came to the same conclusions we did when we first envisioned the park."

"When we evaluated strategic locations in Houston, it became clear that Generation Park was best suited to meet our projected needs," added Bob Potter, president of FMC Technologies, in the release.

McCord Development reports that it is in discussions with several other Fortune 500 companies who are interested in parcels in Phase 1 of the project. The company expects 2013 to be a period of high activity at the development. The real estate company has been in business since 1973.

Generation Park is on the northeast corner of Beltway 8 on the Sam Houston Tollway, Houston.

McCord Development is at 1021 Main St., Suite 1400, Houston.
