Gas prices in and around Lake Houston lower than the average for the state this week, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 47 gas stations in and around Lake Houston as of Saturday, Dec. 15. The average price of regular unleaded gas in Lake Houston is $2.97 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.03, the state average at $3.04 and the nationwide average at Shell.

The least expensive gas in Lake Houston was reported to be 15415 Eastex Freeway for a gallon of regular unleaded.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area was $3.09 at Chevron, 15050 Old Humble Road; Shell, 18040 US -59; and Get N Go, 1111 S. Houston Ave.
