Humble runners complete GE Run Thru the Woods (5-Mile Run)
A total of 11 athletes from Humble completed the GE Run Thru the Woods (5-Mile Run) on Nov. 22 in The Woodlands.
The runners from Humble and their finishing times were Dave Heckman, 36, 34:25; Katy Stibrich, 33, 34:53; Michael Brown, 31, 36:54; Joe McCune III, 42, 38:23; Miguel Grandez, 35, 40:05; Robert Dorsey, 59, 40:49; Benancio Bernal, 42, 41:43; Jenn Heckman, 35, 42:24; Laura Duncan, 51, 47:01; Nancy Chesney, 55, 48:16; and Gordon Kato, 55, 50:27.
According to race organizers, a total of 2,150 runners finished the 5-mile race, which began and ended at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Philip Schneider, of Colorado, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 24:29, while Melissa Cook, of Flower Mound, was the winner in the women's category finishing with a time of 28:01.
