Public welcome at Lake Houston Area Microchipping and Adopt-A-Thon

The public is invited to attend the Lake Houston Area Microchipping and Adopt-A-Thon event scheduled from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. at the Humble Civic Arena.

During the event, patrons can purchase a $10 microchip for their dog or cat, which includes free lifetime registration. According to a release, the microchips allow pets to be tracked if they get lost. The microchips are free for Humble residents with proof of residency.

The event will also include pets available for adoption, low-cost pet vaccinations, food and family activities.

The Humble Civic Arena is at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble.
