Memorial Hermann Cancer Center Northeast offering free prostate screenings
The Memorial Hermann Cancer Center Northeast will offer free prostate screenings Saturday, Sept. 15 at its location on the campus of Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital.
Screenings will be held at the cancer center's main building at 18960 N. Memorial Drive, across the street from the hospital's main campus in Humble.
According to the cancer center's newsletter, annual prostate screenings are important especially for men over the age of 50. The screenings can detect prostate cancer as well as other possible prostate problems.
The screening will include a rectal exam by a urologist and a lab drawn blood sample for a Prostate Specific Antigen test, according to the center's website.
Registration is required. To make an appointment, call 713-222-2273.
