Summer Creek High School releases 2012 football schedule

Summer Creek High School released its varsity football schedule for the upcoming season.

Led by coach Brian Ford, the Bulldogs went 9-2 overall and 6-1 in District 18-4A last season.

The Bulldogs begin the 2012-13 season at home facing South Houston Friday, Aug. 31 and then head to face Port Neches-Grove Friday, Sept. 14.

The team hosts New Caney Friday, Sept. 21, visit Crosby Friday, Sept. 28 and host King Thursday, Oct. 4.

Five tough district games follow as the Bulldogs visit Kingwood Park Friday, Oct. 12, host Humble Friday, Oct. 19, visit Porter Friday, Oct. 26, host Barbers Hill Thursday, Nov. 1 and visit Dayton Friday, Nov. 9.

All Thursday and Friday games begin at 7 p.m., while all Saturday contests start at 6 p.m.

Should the Bulldogs qualify for the postseason, the first round of the 4A Texas state playoffs would begin the weekend of Nov. 16.

Summer Creek plays its home games at the 10,200-seat Turner Stadium, located at 1700 Wilson Road, Humble.
