Business mixer to be held Aug. 17

"This Is Kingwood" and "This Is Atascocita" magazines will host the Third Friday Business Mixer from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 at Incredible Delights in the Atascocita Country Club, 20114 Pinehurst Drive in Atascocita.

According to The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce website, the event will have door prizes, free hors d'oeuvres, networking and a 50/50 raffle, with 50 percent of the proceeds going to a local charity and 50 percent going to the winner. A karaoke party hosted by the Atascocita Country Club will follow for those who want to stick around.

The chamber was established in Humble in 1923. Eight members, including a chairman, make up the executive committee. Eighteen members make up the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
