Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies investigate crash that kills 2 on Aqueduct Road
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are investigating a crash that killed driver Christopher Hollin and passenger Matthew Butler on Aqueduct Road in northeast Harris County the evening of July 29, according to a sheriff's press release.
Around 7:10 p.m. July 29, Hollin was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier south along the 11800 block of Aqueduct Road at a high rate of speed. Hollin failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole.
Hollin and Butler, who weren't wearing seat belts, died in the crash. A photograph on the KTRK-TV Houston website shows the driver's side of the car wrapped around the utility pole and the car crashed into a chain-link fence.
