Humble Civic Center to host couponing event

The Humble Civic Center will host So You Think You Can Save from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 25.

The annual event is a contest to see who can save the most by shopping with coupons.

Several vendors will have booths set up, and participants will receive coupons, samples and other prizes. The top three participants who save the most while shopping will receive cash prizes. The event will also include gas card, retail store card and gift card giveaways.

Children activities include face painting and balloons for kids.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit local elementary schools and one local family in need of financial assistance.

The center is located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway, in Humble.
