Humble's Carpenter completes First Colony Freedom 5K
Lisa Carpenter, 39, of Humble, completed the First Colony Freedom 5K in 26:21.
The event was held Wednesday, July 4, in Sugar Land. A total of 739 runners finished the 5K race, which was held in Lost Creek Park.
The proceeds of the race will benefit the Fort Bend Corps.
Jeremy Green, 38, was the men’s overall winner with a time of 17:19, while Kylee Short of Houston was the women’s winner in 18:03.
