LSC-North Harris names new associate vice president
Lone Star College-North Harris has named Chantell Hines the associate vice president of its two satellite centers. Hines is the former dean of academic services.
"The centers play an integral role in the mission of LSC-North Harris, and I look forward to helping strengthen their status as a vital part of the community," said Hines in a press release. "I plan to work closely with the community to make sure we are offering programs and services that meet their needs."
Before joining the LSC system, Hines was director of student and career services for American Intercontinental University. She has bachelor's and master's degrees from Prairie View A&M University and a doctoral degree in psychology from Capella University.
The two centers Hines will oversee, LSC-Greenspoint Center and LSC-Victory Center, have 3,000 students enrolled in classes.
"Dr. Hines has been an incredible asset for our students, faculty and staff since joining LSC-North Harris," said Dr. Steve Head, president of LSC-North Harris, in a press release. "She shares our commitment to student success, and her leadership will help us continue our efforts to provide quality educational opportunities to the community."
