LSC-North to stage 'To Kill a Mockingbird'
The Lone Star College-North Harris Division of Fine Arts will present "To Kill a Mockingbird" from Feb. 29 to March 4 in the school's Fine Arts Building, 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive, Houston.
The play, based on Harper Lee's classic novel, centers on a the Finch family in 1930s Alabama. Attorney Atticus Finch is appointed to defend Tom Robinson, a black man falsely accused of a crime, while Scout Finch struggles to understand notions of justice and racism.
All performances are 7 p.m., except the March 4 show, which is a 2 p.m. matinee. Tickets are $5 for seniors, faculty and students. General admission tickets are $10.
