Eagle Springs, Summerwood make best-selling community list
Eagle Springs and Summerwood have cracked the annual list of the nation's top-50 selling communities from RCLCO, a national real estate advisory firm.
On the strength of a 59 percent sales increase in new home sales from 2010 to 2011 (147 compared to 234), Eagle springs ranks 25th on the list, while a 21 percent sales increase in Summerwood (155 to 188) netted the community a 36th place finish.
In both communities, increased new-home variety and major developments such as the completion of the Sam Houston Tollway Northeast helped draw more home buyers in 2011, said Kayla Webb, marketing director for Newland Communities, in a press release.
She explained that the transformation of the Sam Houston Tollway into a stoplight-free expressway from U.S. 59 North east to U.S. 90A was one of the biggest factors raising awareness of the area's convenience for home buyers
