It may be mid-summer, but plenty of us are already focusing on the school year. That includes home-schoolers, or those who are considering home-schooling a child.
A prime place to get information and find out what services, support and curriculum are available locally is the HEART Family Expo at the Humble Civic Center outdoor arena from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 9.
HEART stands for the Home Education and Responsible Teaching group, which meets each third Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at Kingwood Bible Church, 3610 W. Lake Houston Pkwy. The group’s Web site is www.homeschoolheart.org.
The Civic Center is at 8233 Will Clayton Pkwy.
